Gramflour and Coconut Burfi and a Very Happy Diwali!!!

Wishing everyone a very happy diwali!!!

This is a very simple burfi made with gramflour and grated coconut. It gets done in minutes. I went through a couple of burfi-making videos, blogs and recipes, and finally came out with this burfi, a little changes made here and there from different recipes read and watched.

INGREDIENTS:

Gramflour (Besan) - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 and 1/2 cups (if you prefer the sugar level really toned down, put in only 1 cup)
Grated Coconut - 1 cup
Ghee/Clarified Butter - 1 cup
Milk - 1 cup

METHOD:

Take a heavy bottomed deep pan.
Put in all the ingredients, one after the other. All can go in at once.
Start the fire and keep the pan on it and stir CONTINOUSLY and PATIENTLY.
The lumps will disappear soon after and the mix starts getting watery at first. Continue stirring.
After 5 to 8 minutes of continous stirring you will see that the mix is getting thicker and thicker.
At one point the mix will be totally dried up. If you try to take some of it in your hand and press, it would bind together and the consistency of the mix would be  CRUMBLY.
Switch off the fire.
Immediately transfer into a greased plate. Smoothen the top with your hands even though the mix is hot.
When cool, cut into squares.
